Light Through the Archive

The brief

For its hundredth year, the library wanted a film that felt as quiet and patient as the building itself: something that invites people back in rather than selling them a membership.

The approach

We shot across a single day, from first light to closing, letting sunlight move across the reading rooms and stacks. No artificial lighting touched the shelves; we only shaped what the windows gave us.

The grade stayed warm and restrained, and the narration came from the librarians themselves, recorded in the rooms they described.
